The Power of Du'a, Senjata Orang Mukmin
Assalamu'alaikum,
When I was younger, somewhere in my early 20s, I bought a book, titled "Senjata Orang Mukmin". The book contents hundreds of do'a (prayers) to be used.
Those days, I didn't have that much of a faith in reciting any doa, and underestimating the power of doa. Like does it really a 'senjata'/weapon? Although, in fact, most of my do'a were actually granted by Allah s.w.t. Maybe I was being less grateful, less aware to the power of it.
Also, back then, I was taught the motto "Usaha, Doa, Tawakkal", meaning that we have to work or give the effort first, then we pray to God, and leave the rest to God.
However, over the years, I came to realize that, doa is indeed a powerful tool to achieve anything that I want. In fact, now, I can gratefully say that I am living in my doa that I have made years ago. I started to re-learn, re-wire my brain path, and to have fully faith in my doa. I changed my motto/life principle to "Doa, Tawakkal, then you Usaha".
Because as a human, I am nothing, and powerless compared to my creator, Allah s.w.t.
I was almost, following the global trend of affirmation, "to ask the universe for..."
Until I realized that, the universe that we have been told "to sync with" or "to vibe with" "to ask for" is just a creation/makhluk/being. But the creator is still Allah s.w.t. It was another level of Tauhid revelation that I experienced. It may sound shallow to you, but this awareness is rather profound for me.
So why would I ask the universe, the creation for something that I want? Instead of asking the creator, the God Himself.
The doa(s) that I recited almost everyday, since I learnt how to pray, is THAT affirmation technique that I recently learnt, from these recent years.
Yup, I guess, that's it for this morning, till then.
